Our Journey

The Cawnpore Magazine: A Chronicle of Creativity
Founded by students, The Cawnpore Magazine is a global platform for teen and university creatives. We publish poetry, prose, essays, fashion editorials, visual art, and games. With each issue, we aim to tell stories that live in the in-betweenness — of place, identity, memory, and imagination.

🌸 Birth of Cawnpore Magazine

Its first issue received 180+ submissions from young writers and artists around the world.

A digital-only, English-language platform, the magazine was created to celebrate youth creativity in fiction, poetry, essays, and art.

Built by teens and twenty-somethings, the magazine offers something for everyone from dreamy storytelling to sharp cultural critique, with a shared mission to uplift emerging voices.

🖋️ First Issue & Literary Identity

The debut issue established the magazine’s literary and cultural focus, spotlighting bold, honest, and heartfelt work.

With no thematic constraints, the issue embraced diverse forms, genres, and perspectives, drawing contributors and readers into a welcoming, creative space.

At this stage, the magazine operated independently, without formal collaborations or co-publishing efforts.

🕊️ VOICE: International Youth Competition

In 2025, The Cawnpore Magazine co-hosted the VOICE competition with 7 international youth magazines.

The competition celebrated self-expression, identity, and change, with cash prizes for selected winners.

It became a milestone event that connected young creatives across borders, reinforced the magazine’s global vision, and spotlighted its role in the international literary youth scene.

Ongoing – A Digital-Only Global Platform

The Cawnpore Magazine continues to be 100% digital with no print editions to date.

All content is published in English, with a strong emphasis on accessibility and storytelling integrity.

The platform remains committed to its founding vision: to be a vibrant, inclusive space for students, teens, and twenty-somethings to share their voices with the world.
